I believe massage should be a safe, welcoming experience—especially for those who are new to it, feel a little nervous, or prefer a light, gentle touch. My own healing journey led me to explore many holistic modalities and ultimately train at Oz School of Massage. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep respect for the nervous system and the body’s natural ability to restore balance and well-being. I create a calm, nurturing space where relaxation and nervous system support are the focus. I often incorporate gentle techniques like craniosacral therapy and aromatherapy to encourage deep rest, release tension, and help you leave feeling nurtured, centered, and renewed.

A personal experience with massage therapy changed the course of my life in 2023 when I started experiencing regulation of my nervous system in addition to the muscular stress relief I was seeking through massage. I am combining my background in problem solving and athletics to study massage therapy so that I can provide others with a complete and holistic solution to discomfort in their bodies.

Dani H
I'm Dani and I am 39 years old. After hearing the quote "Build your dreams or someone else will pay you to build theirs" I realized it was time to pursue my passion of being of service to others through the power of healing touch. Starting around 7 years old, I have suffered from chronic pain and at one point was on 12 prescriptions daily and reached 300 pounds. With a plethora of medical issues, the list of what wasn't wrong with my health was significantly shorter than the list of what was. I was frustrated because I was only given additional prescriptions to cover up symptoms rather than find the root cause so I could begin working towards healing. At 35 years old I discovered my autism, ADHD, C-PTSD, numerous comorbidities that came with them, and also learned I had been exposed to extreme amounts of toxic mold. Since then, my life has forever changed. I finally began discovering, understanding and nurturing my own needs and embraced loving and honoring my authentic self. Through learning about gut health and causes of inflammation in the body, practicing yoga, going for morning walks and dancing in the kitchen to my favorite music, I have lost 150 pounds naturally. I also researched trauma and how it impacts the brain while exploring transcendental meditation along with various nervous system regulation techniques. I finally found answers, and solutions, to the problems I had carried with me for a lifetime. I am now able to do things doctors told me would never be possible, living pain free and have not had to take a single prescription medication in over 2 years. I understand the toll it takes on the body, mind and spirit, feeling trapped in fear and discomfort thinking there is no possible escape in sight. This is why I am so incredibly excited to begin this journey towards becoming a licensed massage therapist. I am so proud and honored to have the opportunity to be of service to others so they are able to feel seen, safe, and empowered to take control of their health. My wish for everyone is to truly love their body and see what they are capable of while building lasting memories with those they love and inspiring others to do the same.

Jared Gibb
Prior to joining this program, I had hopes and visions of a healing cottage where my beautiful wife and I, partnered with others that shared our vision, could assist those around us to find and facilitate their own healing journey. After experiencing and working through my schooling I have truly found health and healing of my own that has given me the clarity of who I really am, and the courage to actively pursue my passions in artistic woodworking and design. I feel that my gifts and knowledge in massage therapy should never be hidden so I will still pursue minimal clients in central Utah where we live, but not the full-time clinic that I envisioned. This School has truly changed my life forever. I am so grateful for this beautiful, incredibly difficult experience.

Owner of Healing Root and Branch & LMT
Lindsay Hurst
For as long as I can remember I have held a deep desire to help the people around me see who they are - their true essence and soulful self. My heart has always been full of compassion and empathy, and the ability to SEE. As I grew toward adolescence though, I slowly started the process of unlearning love for myself and instead grew towards shame and self-hatred as a result of the purity culture within which I was raised. When I entered my thirties I realized that living with the deep emotional and physical pains caused by self-loathing was no longer something I could take, and I started to seek out how to find healing for my broken heart. I began the return to that innate self-love with which I had come into this world. Through the process of returning home to my essence, I have studied and personally experienced countless methods, processes, and techniques that have helped me find healing for the mind, body, and heart. Today I use these techniques for my continued healing along with a daily divine practice of yoga, hiking, meditation, educational reading, and absorbing as much love and light from the sun as I possibly can allow for the continual unfolding and blossoming of self-love.
